Friday is Literacy Day at SWPS! It is also Pajama Day! Please keep in mind that we will still be
going outside during the day.
Students can bring a book to share with friends, their favourite stuffed animal and a blanket if they choose. Please be sure that all materials sent to school are well labelled.
Here is an outline of the activities that we will be
enjoying in our classroom:
9:10-9:30 -Recess
9:30-10:00- Entry and a story with Mlle Paraschak and Mme Mazzalonga
10:00 – 11:10 -Gym and Library as per usual.
11:30 to 1:10- We will have some guest readers coming in to read to our class. Parents and Grandparents are invited to join us during this time period if available. We will have the opportunity to listen to some stories, to read with the adults that come in, and to make bookmarks. If adults who plan to attend want to bring in a book to share or some games to play with a small group please do!
1:55 – 2:45 – Reading buddies with Mrs. Bildfell's class.
2:45 – 3: 15 – We will be joining up with JSB and JSA
for Smartboard stories.
We are really looking forward to this special day as
we share our love of reading with our friends. We can’t wait to cuddle up with
a great book! Hope to see you on Friday!
Reminder: Parent-teacher interviews are Thursday night from 4:15-7:15 p.m. Interviews can be booked online.
Next Wednesday February 11th, is our Open House for Kindergarten Registration. If you or someone you know have a child
entering Junior Kindergarten in September, please come out to visit our
school from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Kindergarten classrooms will be open. If you
would like to come in and help us greet new parents and inform them
about positive experiences you have had with us, please write a note in your child's communication book.
