Exploring the Natural Areas Around our School

On Tuesday September 23rd, we went for a walk around our school to see the changes that fall has brought.  We found all kinds of different colours and enjoyed the unseasonably warm weather while we explored.

"This is the picture that we went for the forest on the nature walk." -Audrina
This is something we found hanging from a tree.  We didn't know what it was so the students made some guesses.  Here are some options we considered.
"The Hanging thing, I think it was watching something that was playing dead"-Madison R.
"Its a bird nest to feed all the birds, or it's watching something dead or alive"- Madison S.
"I think it's sleeping 'cause it didn't have a long sleep"- Avery
"It's to climb up it [the tree]. Maybe it's a fishing rod."- Hayden

A spider web we found.
"They're looking at little berries" -Isabelle

"A mushroom!" -Avery, Hayden & Madison R.

"There's me!  That's the big hole that I found!"- Madison R.
Everyone tried to fit in the hole.  Our whole class fit!
"We're all standing in it!" -Isabelle
"All of us are against the fence in the middle of the school yard" -Madison R.

"Rouge, et orange, et vert, et violet, et jaune!" -Madison R. & Audrina
"Les fleurs jaune et blanc!"- Madison R.
