Making Goop

Today some children made goop. It was a lot of fun!
Here is the recipe:
1)Warm water 1 cup water and 1 tsp borax.
2) In a separate bowl mix 1/2 a cup of white glue and 1/2 a cup of water and a few drops of food colouring.
3)Pour the glue mixture into the borax mixture and mix.

 

Cooperating with Legos

This week a group of students worked together cooperatively to assemble a lego kit.  Each child was given a handful of pieces and as new students arrived, each student handed over a few of their pieces so that everyone could participate.  This exercise took patience and required a lot of cooperation.  

Happy Valentine's Day

This week our students have been very focused on Valentine's day.  They've spent a lot of time this week making cards and gifts for their friends and family.  During our lessons, we have reviewed some concepts such as graphing and sorting, and many students took advantage of the centres related to this during play!
