Piet Mondarin Art

Every other Monday, we will be looking at the work of a famous artist. We will discuss what we see (shape, colours, types of lines etc.) and how it makes us feel. We will then be using our own art skills to make art that is inspired by these artists.

This week's artist is Piet Mondrian.
We found that this artist uses only blue, red, yellow, black and white colours.
He uses squares and rectangles.
He only uses straight lines.

Here is our art from the week:

First you make some straight black lines
You can add to your design as you go
We coloured in the squares and rectangles in our art with yellow, blue, red and black markers and we left some squares blank.
