Les suites

We have been studying patterning for the last two weeks.  We learned how to create and extend patterns using everyday objects such as legos, markers and cereal.  We also learned about different places we can find patterns like in our clothes, in the seasons, in the days of the weeks, or in the months of the year.  Our daily routines are often patters (breakfast, lunch, dinner, repeat).  We learned that patterns can change by colour, shape or size and that they must repeat a minimum of three times. You can help extend these concepts at home by talking about patterns that you see or by making your own patters with different objects in your home.
