3D Shapes

This week we have been learning about 3D shapes. We have discussed the names of the shapes and whether they have straight or curved (round) sides.

Here is a castle Mlle Paraschak built using our known shapes. As you will see below we decomposed this castle and sorted the parts based on shape.

Some of our friends decided to build similar structures while they were playing. They were encouraged to identify different shapes within their structures.  You can help at home by discussing the different shapes you see in your daily lives.

We looked for real life versions of these shapes in our classroom.
