Les ingrédients d'art

This week we have been looking at the different elements of art.  We discussed shape, line, and colour.  We experimented with making art using different shapes to create a picture or an abstract art work.  We discussed different types of lines, such as curved and straight, thick and thin, spirals, scribbles, and points.  We investigated how to make new colours by mixing paint together.  We also learned that we can make colours lighter by adding white to them, and we can make colours darker by adding black to them.  Then we used everything we learned to create some awesome pieces of art!
